Mechanics of the process in the Sunday School or Children's Church Setting:

EVERY WEEK in Children's Church ages 1st-6th grade levels,  the children have an opportunity to consider salvation. Ron finishes his message and then hands the next segment to Francine. This is the typical procedure:

    1. Pray..asking the Lord to give any boy or girl the courage they need to come and talk to Mr. Ron in a few moments to ask about what the Bible says about knowing for sure that Heaven is their home.
    2. In a small room [ say up to 40 or so kids] I use flash cards. In larger rooms I use PowerPoint.
    3. Flash card #1: For All Have Sinned: Step One [ I use a picture that is culturally relevant & is available for download by clicking on Step One Link] The scripture is pretty much always the same so that the kids learn the verses.
      • The Bible, God's Word says "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
      • That means that everyone is a sinner. I am a sinner, our preacher is a sinner, grandma is a sinner, everyone is a sinner.
      • Heaven is a perfect place.
      • I am not perfect. Therefore, I cannot go to Heaven as an unforgiven sinner.
    4. Flash card #2: Wages: Step Two   [Again a picture is worth a thousand words. Here I use the picture of a gift wrapped. This flash card is available for download by clicking on Step Two Link.]
      • The Bible, God's Word says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
      • The Bible says that our paycheck, that is, what we earn for sin, is death. This is the eternal death, the opposite of everlasting life in Heaven.
      • Eternal death is forever in that place called Hell.
      • But you have a GIFT from God. He paid for your sins when He died on the cross, was buried, and came back to life on the third day.
      • Just like any gift, you will have to accept it to make it yours. He will not force you.
    5. Flash card #3: Repentance: Step Three
      • This flash card is available for download by clicking on Step Three Link.
      • The Bible, God's Word says "...except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3
      • In order to accept the gift of eternal life, you must first see or understand that you need to accept it.
      • Jesus wants you to repent. To repent means to turn from your old ways. The ONLY way you can change is to let Jesus change you.
    6. Flash card #4:Whosoever: Step Four
      • This flash card is available for download by clicking on Step Four Link
      • The Bible, God's Word says "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13
      • Saved...saved from what? Saved from spending forever away from Heaven and saved to spending forever with Jesus in Heaven.

AT THIS POINT, I simply have them bow their heads and close eyes. I pray. Then with heads still bowed I say that if anyone wants to go sit with Mr. Ron and our helper[s] and talk to him about asking Jesus into your heart then now is the time to go do that. After we open our eyes, then I am going on with Bible Game Time.

Now you say, how in the world does that work for you? EXCELLENT. If they are serious about salvation, you couldn't stop them from talking to the preacher or teacher no matter how loud and noisy a game you have going on. They will go talk to him. If they are too young, or have not understood the invitation, then we simply send them back to game time.

Results? Yes. Pray. Present the Word. Let the Lord do the rest.
